What is elev8: The intensive?ELEV8: The Intensive is an annual summer dance intensive event featuring some of Chicago's top teachers and choreographers for 4 days of learning, inspiration, and growth! Offering a variety of classes, lectures, and scholarships, dancers will walk away from the event ready to reach new heights.

We have 4 days full of classes with our incredible faculty! It's an amazing opportunity to train, learn and grow with our diverse group of teaching artists.
Keep in mind, Day 4 will include a livestreamed showcase for family & friends to watch at home! It will also be recorded for on-demand viewing and sharing.
All dancers who attend all 4 days of ELEV8 are eligible for various local convention and competition scholarships in addition to Activ8's Stand Out Dancer Scholarships & Fully ELEV8ed Scholarships chosen by faculty.

ELEV8: The Intensive was created as a kick-off fundraiser for Activ8 Dance Company's 4th season. All proceeds from this event will go directly towards funding the organization's sustainability and growth as well as providing future opportunities for Activ8 dancers. ELEV8: The Intensive is a closed event! There will be no room for observers in the studio. The event is only for registered attendees. We want to create an environment where dancers aren't distracted by observers entering and exiting a room during their classes. They will be able to fully focus their energy on class and training with fellow peers for the day. That's what ELEV8: The Intensive is all about!
ParticIpant waiver
All attendees will have to complete and submit a participant waiver before attending ELEV8: The Intensive. The waiver will be provided upon registration for the event.
Scholarships
Full and partial scholarships from our scholarship sponsors will be chosen by faculty and recipients will be awarded during the closing awards via Activ8 Dance Company Directors.
