COMPETITION 101 | what to bring
- All costumes, tights, shoes, accessories, plus extras, needed for the day. FIND THE COSTUME CHECKLIST FOR ALL ITEMS YOU NEED! We recommend costumes be in a garment bag!
- DO NOT WASH OR IRON COSTUMES! You may steam costumes if needed.
- Extra hair items (hair ties, bobby pins, gel/hairspray, etc)
- Competition makeup
- Water and/or sports drinks (no sodas, overly sugary drinks, frappuccinos, etc. until your dancer is done performing for the day please!)
- Snacks that FUEL YOUR BODY - our focus is on eating foods that make us feel good before we go on stage! Recommendations: protein (nuts, cheese, sandwiches, etc), veggies, fruit, crackers, pretzels. Go crazy on the Portillo's, Mickey D's, candy, chips, etc. after your dancer is finished performing for the day!!
- Don't forget to EAT BREAKFAST!!! Starting the day with a high protein breakfast is the best way to fuel up for a day of dance!
